Short Recipe: Mutton Paya Stew
Ingredients:
- 1 kg Mutton Gutka Paya
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 3-4 green cardamom pods
- 4-5 cloves
- 1 cinnamon stick
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander for garnish
Instructions:
- In a large pot, heat oil and sauté onions until golden.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook until soft.
- Add the Mutton Paya, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon stick. Stir well to coat the meat with the spices.
- Pour in enough water to cover the meat and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer for 2-3 hours, or until the meat becomes tender.
- Garnish with fresh coriander and serve with naan or rice.
