Short Recipe: Simple Urad Dal Tadka
Ingredients:
1 cup Urad Dal
2 cups water
1 onion (chopped)
1 tomato (chopped)
2 green chilies (sliced)
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp ghee or oil
Salt to taste
Instructions:
Rinse Urad Dal thoroughly and cook it with water until soft.
Heat ghee or oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, and sauté until they splutter.
Add chopped onions, green chilies, and sauté until onions are golden.
Add tomatoes, turmeric, and salt. Cook for 5 minutes until tomatoes soften.
Add cooked dal to the pan, mix well, and simmer for a few minutes.
Serve hot with rice or naan.
